The Plastic Circular Economy Innovation Forum was held in Beijing to promote the green transformation of the industry.

Recently, the Plastic Circular Economy Innovation Forum was successfully held in Beijing, gathering hundreds of representatives from government, enterprises, academia, and non-governmental organizations. The forum focused on the latest developments and challenges in the plastic circular economy, aiming to accelerate the green transformation of the plastic industry through technological innovation and policy guidance, reduce plastic pollution, and promote resource utilization. At the meeting, several companies showcased their latest achievements in biodegradable plastics, plastic recycling technologies, and circular economy models, providing practical cases for the sustainable development path of the plastic industry.

With the global increase in awareness of environmental protection, the issue of plastic pollution has received growing attention. In response to this challenge, the Plastic Circular Economy Innovation Forum has emerged as an important platform for promoting the green transformation of the plastic industry. This forum is guided by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and hosted by the China Plastics Industry Association, attracting participation from numerous experts both within and outside the industry.

At the forum, government representatives emphasized the importance of building a plastic circular economy system, pointing out that measures such as legislation and policy incentives should be used to promote plastic reduction, recycling, and treatment. They also highlighted the potential of biodegradable plastics in reducing traditional plastic pollution and encouraged companies to increase their R&D investment and accelerate commercialization.

The enterprise showcase segment became a highlight of the forum. Several companies presented their latest achievements in biodegradable plastic materials, plastic recycling technologies, and circular economy models. For example, a company launched a new type of biodegradable plastic that not only has performance close to traditional plastics but also decomposes rapidly in the natural environment, significantly reducing environmental pollution risks. Another company showcased its advanced plastic recycling technology, which can convert waste plastics into high-quality raw materials, achieving resource recycling.

In addition, the forum also set up a roundtable dialogue session, inviting representatives from government, enterprises, academia, and non-governmental organizations to discuss the future trends and challenges of the plastic circular economy. Participants unanimously agreed that technological innovation and policy guidance are key to promoting the development of a plastic circular economy, requiring all parties to work together to drive the green transformation of the plastic industry.
